The Active 1B features a bi-amped aluminium die-cast power amplifier module, 150 watt for the 12" woofer, and 25 watt for the horn loaded compression driver, neatly negotiated in the compact cabinet. The aluminium die-cast module ensures very effective air circulation and thus minimizes the opportunity for overheating.

Moreover, the cabinet is wedge-shaped allowing it to be used as a stage monitor. This unique cabinetry and the in-built equalization readies the Active 1B to meet the professional’s need of near-field monitoring. It can accept both line and microphone inputs, and has facilities for microphone mixing, and signal daisy chaining. A mixer or a single microphone may thus drive it.This active speaker has signal and clipping indicators (located on the baffle) and pro-active protection on the amplifier to ensure that it performs excellently … whenever it is called upon to do so!
