The Sonodyne PSX 412 M is a two way horn loaded mid bass, high frequency loudspeaker system designed for the permanent instillation and touring markets.

The 412 M is moulded from FRP and thus demonstrates exceptional rigidity in a relatively light weight. Both the flares, that of the mid bass, and the high frequency, are integral part of the loudspeaker mould. The mid bass device in the 412 M is a 12” driver that is capable of producing a smooth response at high listening levels from 200 Hz upto 3 kHz. The high frequency is obtained via a constant directivity 90 x 40 horn loaded compression driver with a usable response upto 20 kHz. This high frequency device is protected from input over voltage (over drive) via a self resetting switch.

This device has been designed while keeping in mind the professionals use. Its size and light weight belies its performance. It is possible to use the 412 M as a stand alone device if the application is only that of speech. The combination of the 412 M and the 425 L or 535 L low frequency loudspeaker system forms a three way system, with the crossover between these two devices being active. For optimal matching of the 412 M and 425 L/525 L the SC 2.2 X system controller is recommended. This controller provides equalization, crossover filters, and ultra high and low frequency protection. This device also has user defined options for ideal matching of the two devices that may vary under different circumstances.

The 412 M is finished in black and is factory packed with the integral flying/support kit. In its standard form the 412 M is meant for use indoor and for large PA rigs outdoors provided it is not exposed to the elements.
