Measuring in at 3 ½ ft, the Sonus is a true three way speaker. Each of the three bandwidths operate in an isolated chamber and are separated by a 4th order Linkwitz Riley crossover that allows them to blend seamlessly. The low frequency driver uses a phase plug to facilitate a remarkable clarity and smoothness especially in the mid bass region. The silk dome tweeter employs a ferrite magnet to deliver the highest frequencies with remarkable ease and intelligibility. The midrange driver was selected not only for its low distortion and fidelity, but also its controlled on and off axis response. It is this component of the Sonus that has contributed significantly to its excellent soundstaging. Immaculately finished in natural wood with a high gloss top, the 2605 is bi-wiring and bi-amping ready, and sits on a solid wood plinth and (optional) gold spikes.
