The Active S1 is truly a multipurpose professional subwoofer. It produces high quality, well - defined, extended low frequencies that can be used not only for demanding applications for FOH in small venues but also as a reinforcement LF unit in high grade BGM applications. An efficient Class D amplifier provides adequate drive for the high excursion 12" subwoofer transducer. Rugged, it is made of 18 mm MDF and coated with durable PU paint, with a stiff metal grill to protect the driver. Ergonomic handles facilitate ease of transport, and a pole mount adapter allows for smaller mid highs, eg XRS 8 or 10 P to be pole mounted atop the Active S1.
